The term “safety culture” is being increasingly used as a measurement for minimizing risks and accident numbers. In order to be able to implement this means effectively, however, one has to be aware of its deeper meaning and the way cultural mechanisms work in the daily routines of organizations. With the help of a descriptive model, it is possible to find effective means for improving the safety culture in general.
This article focuses on analyzing the correlation in companies between the responsibilities in safety at work and the development of safety culture.
