With this statement on data protection measures, we therefore want to provide you with information on the types of data that we may collect and how we use that data.
 

Storage and use of data
As a visitor to our website, you will remain anonymous. The data we store and analyze is used for statistical purposes only, for instance to ensure the continuous improvement of our services. The data we store on our servers comprises the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you visited us, the etalon web pages you have looked up, your IP address and the date and duration of your visit.

General information for all customers, business partners and friends of etalon international GmbH in compliance with the data protection standards according to article 13, 14 GDPR and 32, 33 BDSG

On the 25th of May 2018 the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into direct force as well as the new form of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). The following information concerns the processing of your personal data through etalon international GmbH.

Personal data is all data that can be assigned to an individual. Data processing includes all procedures in which data is collected, saved, used, shared, offered on demand or deleted.

The safety of your privacy when processing your personal data is important to us. Consequently we would like to inform you of how we use your data. Additionally, we are sharing your rights with you and who to contact in regards to this issue.

II. How is your data used?

Your data is used to send you information, especially in regards to the preparation and handling of contracts. We mainly use your address and email address.

III. What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?

Data processing is legal when it is permitted by law or if the person whose data will be processed has given their consent.

  1. Law:

  • In order to fulfill a contract you are a party of (Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit b, Paragraph 2 GDPR).

  • Based on balanced interests (Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f, Paragraph 2 GDPR)

2) Consent (Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. a and Article 9, Paragraph 2 lit. a GDPR). In this case you have the right to refuse (see IX).

V. Who has access to your data?

Our work processes are organized so that our employees only access your data if necessary for the fulfillment of their tasks. We only share data outside of etalon international GmbH if we have a legal obligation or your consent.

VI. How long do we keep your personal data for?

Your data will be saved as long it is necessary for the fulfillment of our contractual obligations, including our retention obligations. Furthermore we use data to keep you up to date about current developments.

VII. Your rights in relation to personal data

According to GDPR and BDSG you have a range of rights.

You have the right to access your personal data as we process it.

Should your data be incorrect, you have the right to correct it. You also have the right to complete possibly incomplete data.

Moreover, you have the right to demand us to delete your data. However, this depends on if we have completed our contractual obligations for which we require your data.

Should it be impossible to delete your data due to the way it is saved, you have the right to demand restricted use of said data.

You also have the right to refuse the use of your data (Article 21 GDPR), if data processing is done based on balanced interests (Article 1, Paragraph 1, let. f GDPR). In this case we stop processing your personal data except if compelling legal grounds are found in which your interests, rights and freedom prevail or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

General information to your rights: In some case we can or are not permitted to follow your request. In these cases we will inform you of the reason for our refusal to comply with your request.

IIX. Your right to refuse  

As long as any data is processed with your consent, you have the constant right to refuse us. Please be aware that this right has no retroactive effect, which means the processing of your data until then is done rightfully so. Please send your refusal to [email protected].
